In the 15th minute, one of Facundouba FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Facundouba FC. 19 minutes into the match, Freddy Valentine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Efrain Esquipula. Facundouba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddy Valentine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximino Emesto during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Yala fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Yala's Igor Hats looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-9 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Montxo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Facundouba FC's zone, Freddy Valentine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Esquipula came out of the goal and Freddy Valentine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Igor Hats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Esquipula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Hats in the 63rd minute of the match. Zacarias Rik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Efrain Esquipula made a huge save. Efrain Esquipula came out of the goal and Freddy Valentine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th play minute Igor Hats came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Efrain Esquipula. 0-12. When Maximino Emesto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. The supporters of Yala booed when Facundouba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Emesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Efrain Esquipula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yala's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
