Florentino Gonzo was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Leonardo Fagildo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonardo Fagildo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Florentino Gonzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Astor Urdin went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Feliberto Clemencin made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Isaias Naldo. Antonio Mancio scored 2-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edelmiro Bertin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of C.A. Soldados del Señor booed when Piquillín FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Osorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Hernando kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Fellipe Severo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Florentino Gonzo came out and tried to block the shot, but Fellipe Severo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, C.A. Soldados del Señor's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Mancio came free, but Edelmiro Bertin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Fellipe Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Gonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A. Soldados del Señor's Fellipe Severo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florentino Gonzo. That made the score 5-1 after 45 minutes of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fellipe Severo was the one to do the kick off. When Fellipe Severo came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the C.A. Soldados del Señor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Severo couldn't finish the play. Florentino Gonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Silviano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Piquillín FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Naldo. Victor Rutenio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Edelmiro Bertin made a huge save. Florentino Gonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Silviano, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th match minute, C.A. Soldados del Señor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Urdin to maneuver through the defense. Piquillín FC made a substitution. Julio Txordon replaced Americo Fero. Astor Urdin hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Piquillín FC's zone, Natalio Silviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Gonzo came out of the goal and Natalio Silviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Bertin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Rutenio in the 73rd minute. Piquillín FC were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after C.A. Soldados del Señor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niceto Osorio took the corner. Niceto Osorio made a great header on Piquillín FC's corner, it was just that C.A. Soldados del Señor's Edelmiro Bertin managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Piquillín FC defense, Fellipe Severo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florentino Gonzo. The Piquillín FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentino Gonzo should have stopped the shot. Natalio Silviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Gonzo having to interfere. Florentino Gonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A hard shot 88 in the game by Antonio Mancio from a close distance when the talented Edelmiro Bertin managed to make a qualified save. C.A. Soldados del Señor's players were relieved. When Natalio Silviano came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the C.A. Soldados del Señor fans jumped to their feet. When Fellipe Severo fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Soldados del Señor's protests and gave Fellipe Severo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Fellipe Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that C.A. Soldados del Señor were the better team. C.A. Soldados del Señor's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
