The Manantial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasio Piarres should have stopped the shot. Dante Cuartio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Piarres having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Tegua's Dante Cuartio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Piarres was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Tegua's Mauro Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Piarres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Jonas Egoitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anastasio Piarres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Anastasio Piarres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Ermegildo Elazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Piarres came out of the goal and Dante Cuartio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Gumaro made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tegua's Óscar Murillo. In the 77th minute, Tegua's Óscar Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anastasio Piarres. Anastasio Piarres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Mauro Abreu took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasio Piarres. Anastasio Piarres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Dante Cuartio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tegua's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Cuartio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Piarres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Óscar Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Anastasio Piarres. Manantial's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. When Leo Cai fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manantial's protests and gave Leo Cai a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tegua booed when Manantial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Cai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anastasio Piarres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Salas in the 91st minute. Miguel Laffitte got a throw-in 94 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Epifanio Lawrence. Tegua's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
