In the 11th minute Bartolo Bonifaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Arnalt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cirilo Peyo came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaime Arnalt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 13th minute. Jaime Arnalt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Leonardo Joanes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Antonio Vespucio Liberti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosmos the free kick. Cirilo Peyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Lucado went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Cirilo Peyo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Bartolo Bonifaco sent off a good shot on target. Jaime Arnalt hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Cosmos's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Arnalt came free, but Cirilo Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Cipriano Eguzki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Cirilo Peyo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jaime Arnalt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Arnalt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Iker Cesario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosmos and the Antonio Vespucio Liberti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Cosmos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Cesario to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Jaime Arnalt made a precise shot to the right of Cirilo Peyo. Cosmos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 59 minutes into the game, Leonardo Joanes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Cirilo Peyo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Cosmos defense, Leonardo Joanes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Peyo. The Cosmos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Peyo should have stopped the shot. Cirilo Peyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Arnalt went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Jaime Arnalt struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Cirilo Peyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antonio Vespucio Liberti. When Bernardo Ignatius fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antonio Vespucio Liberti's protests and gave Bernardo Ignatius a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Antonio Vespucio Liberti got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Ignatius. Cirilo Peyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Bonifaco in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Bonifaco in the 94th minute of play forced Cosmos's goalkeeper Cirilo Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Vespucio Liberti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
