Cosmos's Cirilo Peyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Cordeiro in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. Sportivo Italiano's Elpidio Llanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Otoniel in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match Cosmos got a corner. Sportivo Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damián Perez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rodrigo Braña hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moises Cordeiro in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Peyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 13 played minutes, Sportivo Italiano's Elvio Raymon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cirilo Peyo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sportivo Italiano reached it. After 15 minutes, Francisco Otoniel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosmos and the Sportivo Italiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Cosmos got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Otoniel. Moises Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moises Cordeiro took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cirilo Peyo. Cirilo Peyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Cosmos's Lázaro Harri got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Cordeiro in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Peyo saved Cosmos from getting behind. Cirilo Peyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvio Raymon went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Italiano's Adolfo Lapurdi got a free kick in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Otoniel in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elpidio Llanos saved Sportivo Italiano from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Veríssimo Zambujal made a precise shot to the right of Cirilo Peyo. Cosmos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Elvio Raymon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Peyo having to interfere.

Cirilo Peyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Cordeiro went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Cordeiro got free with Cirilo Peyo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Moises Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cirilo Peyo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. When Sportivo Italiano's Moises Cordeiro in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elpidio Llanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Cesario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Elvio Raymon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cirilo Peyo, 0-9. In the 82nd minute, Isaac Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th match minute, Cosmos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Cesario to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Peyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Cordeiro in the 87th minute. Cirilo Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos's zone, Elvio Raymon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Peyo came out of the goal and Elvio Raymon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moises Cordeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cirilo Peyo came out and tried to block the shot, but Moises Cordeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 95th minute. Sportivo Italiano played a much better game than Cosmos and deserved their victory. The Cosmos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
