The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Lucado got free with Lorenzo Bermund in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Elvio Raymon fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Italiano's protests and gave Elvio Raymon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Raymon to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Joanes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lorenzo Bermund. Leonardo Joanes's late challenge caught a Sportivo Italiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Joanes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Leonardo Joanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Sportivo Italiano's Lorenzo Bermund got control of the ball when Marcelo Lucado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubaldo Rexino kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Moises Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Txomin. Antonio Vespucio Liberti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The supporters of Antonio Vespucio Liberti booed when Sportivo Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position.
