When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Geronimo Seguinus sped through Tabaquillo AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Prospero Llin. Veríssimo Zambujal scored 0-3 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Llin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Melquiades Danel's late challenge caught a Tabaquillo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Danel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Prospero Llin came out of the goal and Veríssimo Zambujal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Veríssimo Zambujal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Llin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Geronimo Seguinus made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Tabaquillo AFC's Prospero Llin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Isaac Navarro hit a great ball. Prospero Llin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Seguinus in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Tabaquillo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Seguinus came free, but Prospero Llin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tabaquillo AFC defense, Melquiades Danel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Llin. The Tabaquillo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Llin should have stopped the shot. Sportivo Italiano's Veríssimo Zambujal got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Veríssimo Zambujal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Prospero Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Bermund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Txatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Geronimo Seguinus made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Llin. Tabaquillo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. Geronimo Seguinus might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prospero Llin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geronimo Seguinus ran back to his position shaking his head. If Geronimo Seguinus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Rodrigo Braña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Italiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Braña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Llin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
