Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes of play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Donato Benino made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Bartolome was left in no man's land by his defense there! Curupaity's Marcos Bartolome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Bingen in the 37th minute of play. Cornelio Ixidor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Bartolome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Anibal Vedillo's late challenge caught a Atlético Villa Gesell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Vedillo helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Curupaity got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Vedillo. 42 minutes into the match, Curupaity's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Benino came free, but Marcos Bartolome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Villa Gesell were furious when Gaston Jerardo was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Villa Gesell fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Joaquin Aurre shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. With a little luck, Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino got control of the ball when Emanuel Ipar tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edelmiro Elizardo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Paolo Aguirre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Curupaity's Joaquin Aurre couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético Villa Gesell. Denis Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Elizardo in the 54th minute of the match. Marcos Bartolome was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donato Benino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Marcos Bartolome made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Hipolito Feliu sent off a good shot on target. Atlético Villa Gesell's Donato Benino got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Bartolome having to interfere. If Donato Benino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Donato Benino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Bartolome, 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cornelio Ixidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Villa Gesell's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Ixidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Bartolome breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atlético Villa Gesell's Paulo Rudolfo was substituted for Donato Benino. Cornelio Ixidor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Bartolome having to make a save. Marcos Bartolome stood somewhat misplaced when Paulo Rudolfo came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 96 minute. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Villa Gesell left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Curupaity.
