Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Angelino Bernard took the kick off in the first half of the match. Prospero Iratze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Bernard in the 3rd minute of play. Mario Salomon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Nicolas Galtero made a huge save. Nicolas Galtero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Salomon in the 7th minute. Prospero Iratze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Bernard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urbano Quilino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Galtero having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sumampa AFC defense, Mario Salomon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolas Galtero. The Sumampa AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Galtero should have stopped the shot. When Edgardo Milian came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sumampa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Milian couldn't finish the play. Gimnasia's Prospero Iratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Bernard in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Sumampa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Quilino came free, but Nicolas Galtero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Galtero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Quilino in the 40th minute of play. Angelino Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Prospero Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Urbano Quilino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sumampa AFC's Nicolas Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Quilino in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Urbano Quilino made the kick off in the second half. If Angelino Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Favila kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia's zone, Edgardo Milian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Iratze came out of the goal and Edgardo Milian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Iratze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Milian in the 62nd minute. Prospero Iratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Bernard, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Prospero Iratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Bernard in the 67th minute of the match. Angelino Bernard struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Prospero Iratze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumampa AFC. Urbano Quilino's late challenge caught a Sumampa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Quilino helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Gimnasia got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Quilino. Angelino Bernard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgardo Milian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Iratze having to interfere. Gimnasia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Angelino Bernard 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Prospero Iratze was a little too slow when Angelino Bernard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 90th minute Angelino Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Iratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Urbano Quilino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atilano Orain hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sumampa AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
