Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Chacarita's Aaron Chago started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ezequiel Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Naldo having to interfere. Celso Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Pasqual in the 11th minute of play. Esteve Joachim's late challenge caught a Mercedes AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteve Joachim helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chacarita's Esteve Joachim got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Aaron Chago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chacarita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Ezequiel Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Pasqual fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Naldo having to interfere. Celso Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Pasqual in the 24th minute of play. Celso Naldo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Chacarita's Aaron Chago. But to his dismay, Aaron Chago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes AFC's zone, Emilio Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Naldo came out of the goal and Emilio Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Ceferino Argina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Naldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Pasqual, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Chacarita's attentive Ildefonso Florin managed to snatch the ball when Francisco Quico made a throw-in in the 45th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victoriano Ledesma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celso Naldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Pasqual, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Aaron Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Naldo having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Aaron Chago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacarita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Chago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Godfredo Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chacarita booed when Mercedes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Emilio Pasqual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Pasqual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Naldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mercedes AFC's Conrado Rey got a free kick in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Chacarita's Aaron Chago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Naldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Chacarita left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mercedes AFC.
