In the 2ndth minute of the game Roberto Eskuin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CLATHU's Betinho Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Eskuin in the 6th minute of play forced CLATHU's goalkeeper Betinho Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betinho Batista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Eskuin's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Kamer Hammer took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betinho Batista. Betinho Batista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Gioiese Calcio getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Isaias Urbes hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Roberto Eskuin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Söncke Gärtner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Olayo in the 42nd minute of play. CLATHU were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Gioiese Calcio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hipolito Mel took the corner. Hipolito Mel made a great header on CLATHU's corner, it was just that Gioiese Calcio's Söncke Gärtner managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 45th minute, Isaac Orlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by CLATHU's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abelardo Fonso was slow to take the kick. During this time Gioiese Calcio's players had a chance to rest. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

CLATHU's Betinho Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save CLATHU from getting a goal against them. Jacobo Peter's late challenge caught a Gioiese Calcio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Peter helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th match minute, CLATHU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Peter to maneuver through the defense.
