Singlar club's Clemente Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jedrzej Tomaka in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Jedrzej Tomaka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez's supporters rose to their feet, but Jedrzej Tomaka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Bernat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Bernat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Sebastián Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Singlar club's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Sebastián Torres came free, but Clemente Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimeno Satordi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Clemente Bernat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jedrzej Tomaka, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jindřich Přecechtěl in the 28th minute of play forced Singlar club's goalkeeper Clemente Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Juan-Sebastián Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Bernat. Singlar club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan-Sebastián Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 40 minutes into the match, Singlar club's goal looked a bit too open when Jedrzej Tomaka came free, but Clemente Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Jerry Ingemarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jedrzej Tomaka scored 0-5 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Bernat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Enrique Arósio made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Bernat. Singlar club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Braulio Castulo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clemente Bernat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Arósio went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Dionisio Orland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Rioja having to interfere. In the 60th minute Dionisio Orland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan-Sebastián Torres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Bernat came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan-Sebastián Torres slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 62nd minute. Götz Dubach charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Götz Dubach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Singlar club booed when Velez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Götz Dubach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Arnaldo Admon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fulgencio Rioja showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 69 minutes, Venancio Caton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez and the Singlar club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Velez! 71 minutes into the match, Singlar club's goalkeeper Clemente Bernat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jedrzej Tomaka. Jimeno Satordi kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Clemente Bernat made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jedrzej Tomaka sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Singlar club getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Arnaldo Admon hit a great ball. Clemente Bernat came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez's Jedrzej Tomaka. But to his dismay, Jedrzej Tomaka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Clemente Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Tomaka in the 86th minute of play. Jedrzej Tomaka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Clemente Bernat made a huge save. Clemente Bernat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jedrzej Tomaka in the 87th minute. When Arnaldo Admon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. After 88 played minutes Singlar club got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Admon. After 89 minutes of play, Velez's Jedrzej Tomaka made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Bernat was left in no man's land by his defense there! 92 minutes into the match, Juan-Sebastián Torres notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Singlar club's Clemente Bernat. Clemente Bernat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clemente Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan-Sebastián Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Velez's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
