Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) river FC's Gaudencio Perez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Tablada's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Henry came free, but Edelmiro Gergori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Alberto Iyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Gergori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Hanot in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Gergori saved Tablada from getting behind. Edelmiro Gergori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Hanot in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the river FC defense, Roman Liberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionel Cândea. Cipriano Orlondo made a great header on Tablada's corner, it was just that river FC's Ionel Cândea managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Ionel Cândea managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Tablada's Roman Liberto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to river FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alberto Iyan hit a great ball. Tablada's Edelmiro Gergori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Iyan in the 41st minute of play. Ionel Cândea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Hermelando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tablada booed when river FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Henry didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roman Liberto was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Amado Pere notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tablada's Edelmiro Gergori. Edelmiro Gergori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Tablada's Edelmiro Gergori got control of the ball when Alberto Iyan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute, Gaudencio Perez made a precise shot to the right of Edelmiro Gergori. Tablada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, river FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Iyan to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amado Pere during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes river FC got a freekick which was hit by Amado Pere. 91 minutes into the game, Roman Liberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Ionel Cândea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute Efrain Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Cândea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. river FC played a much better game than Tablada and deserved their victory. The Tablada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
