After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Gaudencio Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. river FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaudencio Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Feliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teobaldo Cresitobalo in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ionel Cândea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Perez in the 15th minute of play forced Academia RC's goalkeeper Ladislao Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in David Vistruario almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia RC's Ladislao Feliu did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Academia RC's zone, Gaudencio Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislao Feliu came out of the goal and Gaudencio Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, river FC's Amado Pere sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ladislao Feliu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Academia RC's Ladislao Feliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Perez in the 28th minute of play. Genaro Sotero hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, river FC's Fernan Henry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ladislao Feliu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ionel Cândea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Izel in the 34th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonel Izel in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionel Cândea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fernan Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. river FC's Ionel Cândea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save river FC from getting a goal against them. Isaac Roderigo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaudencio Perez was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes river FC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Hanot. In the 55th match minute, Academia RC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Roderigo to maneuver through the defense. Isaac Roderigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionel Cândea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Roderigo ran back to his position shaking his head. river FC's Ionel Cândea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Izel in the 60th minute of play. Cipriano Tauro's late challenge caught a river FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Tauro helped the player get up and apologised. Cipriano Tauro kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Academia RC's Genaro Sotero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionel Cândea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ionel Cândea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Izel went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Alberto Iyan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Teobaldo Cresitobalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Cândea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Academia RC's Danilo Elizardo got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ladislao Feliu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from David Vistruario. Alberto Iyan struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ladislao Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for river FC. In the 88th minute Nestor Hanot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fernan Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ladislao Feliu came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by river FC's Fernan Henry. But to his dismay, Fernan Henry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
