The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruben Bemabe got free with Ladislao Feliu in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Leonel Izel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Scylla A.F.C's Efrain Bide. Efrain Bide was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Leonel Izel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia RC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Izel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Bide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teobaldo Cresitobalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Efrain Bide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ladislao Feliu was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Ruben Bemabe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ruben Bemabe really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Leonel Izel came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Academia RC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Izel couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jacinto Ponciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scylla A.F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Ponciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Feliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Evelio Maule hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Efrain Bide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Izel in the 65th minute of play. Ladislao Feliu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Ponciano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Ruben Bemabe kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Scylla A.F.C's zone, Leonel Izel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Bide came out of the goal and Leonel Izel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Rey hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Ruben Bemabe hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Teobaldo Cresitobalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Efrain Bide made a huge save. If Mario Tano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Constancio charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Constancio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Academia RC booed when Scylla A.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Constancio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Scylla A.F.C players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
