Spectators: 7533 (Terracing: 5689, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Prospero Petri kicked off to start the match. Celso Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Petri in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Leandro Astigar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Mikelar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 minutes of play, Patay Juniors's Güntekin Enginer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Mikelar was left in no man's land by his defense there! River plate's Celso Mikelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Chesus in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of River plate booed when Patay Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Egoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the River plate defense, Prospero Petri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Mikelar. The River plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Mikelar should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faustino Jokin during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, River plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Jokin to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the River plate defense, Prospero Petri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Mikelar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güntekin Enginer in the 30th minute of play forced River plate's goalkeeper Celso Mikelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Mikelar came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Patay Juniors's Leandro Astigar. But to his dismay, Leandro Astigar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Güntekin Enginer took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Mikelar. Celso Mikelar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 45th minute Froilan Gasteiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Mikelar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Jokin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celso Mikelar made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Cedric Ceballos sent off a good shot on target. Celso Mikelar was a little too slow when Güntekin Enginer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-7. Celso Mikelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Chesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güntekin Enginer got free with Celso Mikelar in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Chesus in the 63rd minute of play. After 76 played minutes River plate got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Sanson. Cedric Ceballos took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Mikelar. Celso Mikelar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. With a little luck, River plate's Celso Mikelar got control of the ball when Hilario Cai tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th play minute Güntekin Enginer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Celso Mikelar. 0-13. Celso Mikelar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Chesus in the 90th minute of the match. River plate's Celso Mikelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güntekin Enginer in the 95th minute of play. Patay Juniors played a much better game than River plate and deserved their victory. The River plate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
