An unexpectedly hard shot by Bocho Cabezuela in the 3rd minute of play forced Faro AFC's goalkeeper Adrian Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Zeledon Erdiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Timo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Venancio Lia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomás Timo. Venancio Lia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. A collision led to Faro AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Atilano Mano hit a great ball. After 32 minutes, Ricardo Berdaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faro AFC and the Robles players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Faro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Berdaitz. 41 minutes into the match, Sandalio Top notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Faro AFC's Adrian Sotero. Adrian Sotero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Berdaitz was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Faro AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ricardo Berdaitz hit a great ball. The Faro AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Robles were winning 2-3.

If Bocho Cabezuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandalio Top got free with Adrian Sotero in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Sandalio Top took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Adrian Sotero to make any attempt to save it. Adrian Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bocho Cabezuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Lia's late challenge caught a Robles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Lia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Faro AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Venancio Lia hit a great ball. Robles's Sandalio Top got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Sandalio Top dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adrian Sotero, 2-5. Bocho Cabezuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the game, Faro AFC's Rolando Medero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Timo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. In the 85th minute, Rolando Medero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Faro AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-5. Sandalio Top's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Sotero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Faro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Tauro to maneuver through the defense. Robles's Tomás Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Medero in the 96th minute of play. The Robles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Robles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
