But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Tonio couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Belmonte during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pucará getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tomás Belmonte hit a great ball. Adamantios Geronimidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Rafe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Morales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamantios Geronimidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. C.A. LANUS were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Pucará's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vaani Gómez took the corner. C.A. LANUS's Vaani Gómez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Morales in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Pucará's zone, Adamantios Geronimidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Morales came out of the goal and Adamantios Geronimidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Videla's late challenge caught a Pucará's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Videla helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes C.A. LANUS got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Videla. In the 24th minute, Pepe Sand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Adamantios Geronimidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pucará's Lautaro Morales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The C.A. LANUS fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 33 minutes into the game, Adamantios Geronimidis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Morales. Adamantios Geronimidis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 37thth minute of the game Adamantios Geronimidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pucará's Lautaro Morales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Rafe in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, C.A. LANUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Jon to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pepe Sand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, C.A. LANUS's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Sand came free, but Cristian Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepe Sand in the 57th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pucará fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Cristian Mergildo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pepe Sand's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adamantios Geronimidis in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Morales saved Pucará from getting behind. In the 71stth minute of the game Adamantios Geronimidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pucará's Lautaro Morales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pucará's Lautaro Morales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamantios Geronimidis in the 73rd minute of play. Lautaro Morales didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Pucará's Dario Artizar was substituted for Pepe Sand.
