Lorenzo Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Abar in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Ciceron in the 19th minute of play forced Castelar F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnulfo Piarres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Castelar F.C. defense, Anibal Iraitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Piarres. The Castelar F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Piarres should have stopped the shot. Anibal Iraitz made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 26thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Arnulfo Piarres would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Lorenzo Fiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Ortega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Wilfredo Federigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Piarres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chulihuense FC booed when Castelar F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Abar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ruben Ciceron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnulfo Piarres was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Iraitz got free with Arnulfo Piarres in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Inocente to make the kick off. Ruben Ciceron hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Valentin Sergi from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Lorenzo Fiz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lorenzo Fiz came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Castelar F.C.'s Ariel Ortega. But to his dismay, Ariel Ortega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Senen in the 58th minute of play forced Chulihuense FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Senen hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes of play, Chulihuense FC's Ruben Ciceron made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnulfo Piarres was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Castelar F.C.'s zone, Anibal Iraitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Piarres came out of the goal and Anibal Iraitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnulfo Piarres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Iraitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Lorenzo Fiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Senen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorenzo Fiz having to make a save. In the 90th minute, Ruben Ciceron made a precise shot to the right of Arnulfo Piarres. Castelar F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Ciceron in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Piarres saved Castelar F.C. from getting behind. Chulihuense FC's Lorenzo Fiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Chulihuense FC from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castelar F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chulihuense FC.
