In the 19th minute Hector Ganix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 朱骋斌 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Maurino hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Hipolito Tolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Gartxot was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ongamira! Ongamira's Ovidio Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Oso in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Hipolito Tolino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 朱骋斌 was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Gerardo Gabon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for 朱骋斌. Caldas De Reis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Caldas De Reis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iwan Cizeski in the 80th minute. The supporters of Ongamira booed when Caldas De Reis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Caldas De Reis's Georges Marchais got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st match minute, Ongamira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Vincent to maneuver through the defense. If Georges Marchais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Gervasio Ted hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ongamira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
