An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Ángel Benito in the 23rd minute of play forced Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Jorge Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Arotza. The tension between the Espirillo FC and the Cascadia United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cascadia United's Agustin Bittor was substituted for Miguel Ángel Benito. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Espirillo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cascadia United:s goal. Agustin Bittor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jorge Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopold Greve in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Aaron Cutberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Leonel Rocco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th match minute, Cascadia United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Ugaitz to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Rocco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Elia in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cascadia United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Espirillo FC.
