The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teofilo Claude made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Felipo in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihai Voina got free with Franco Sampler in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franco Sampler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihai Voina in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Frank Hombroeckx threw the ball into play from the sideline. Villa La Perla's Sixto Felipo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Piara Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 25 minutes of play, Villa La Perla's Piara Batistuta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Claude was left in no man's land by his defense there! A nice corner shot did that Roque Telmo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teofilo Claude quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 47 played minutes Villa La Perla got a freekick which was hit by Roque Telmo. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihai Voina made a kick off. Teofilo Claude showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Felipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Villa La Perla's Franco Sampler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Voina in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, GMG's goalkeeper Teofilo Claude had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piara Batistuta. With a little luck, GMG's Teofilo Claude got control of the ball when Piara Batistuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind GMG's goalkeeper Teofilo Claude, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, GMG's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Playo came free, but Teofilo Claude reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes GMG got a freekick which was hit by Xande Havertz. Villa La Perla made a substitution. Placido Paul replaced Piara Batistuta. Xande Havertz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Paul got free with Teofilo Claude in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Villa La Perla fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Villa La Perla's Placido Paul looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Villa La Perla's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
