If Nunez Gizon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Bermudo in the 5th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Echesortu Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Gizon came free, but Lucas Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Amado Bermudo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Guaberto Cucao to make any attempt to save it. Amado Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Bermudo in the 29th minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Guaberto Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Libertad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Jatsu in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guaberto Cucao, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 37 minutes, Albano Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Echesortu Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Libertad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albano Libertad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After taking down the ball on Echesortu Football Club's corner Zeledon Mendez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guaberto Cucao quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mainumby made a substitution. David Isusko replaced Eusebio Mercurio. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amado Bermudo to make the kick off. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Jatsu in the 55th minute of play. Amancio Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Adan Gonza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Jatsu in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Echesortu Football Club's Silvio Jatsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Cucao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvio Jatsu took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guaberto Cucao. Guaberto Cucao dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 71 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Jatsu came free, but Guaberto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Echesortu Football Club's Tonton Saroge got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Silvio Jatsu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cucao was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Amado Bermudo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Cucao was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 87thth minute of the game Amado Bermudo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amancio Intxixu got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Amancio Intxixu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Zeledon Mendez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guaberto Cucao. Mainumby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 94th minute Silvio Jatsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Bermudo in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Cucao saved Mainumby from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mainumby players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Echesortu Football Club.
