After 7 minutes, Jan Malysz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cañada Juniors and the Marcos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cañada Juniors's Jan Malysz got a free kick in the 7th minute. Silvio Ostargi took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonatan Bortzaioriz. Jonatan Bortzaioriz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Cesaro got free with Ramon Maidana in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonatan Bortzaioriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo de Lima in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Silvio Ostargi made a precise shot to the right of Jonatan Bortzaioriz. Cañada Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Marcos AFC's Ramon Maidana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Marcos AFC from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Ramon Maidana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Nemesio Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nemesio Cesaro to make the kick off. Thorkil Turell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Maidana having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Marcos AFC's Marten Wautiers got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Adolfo Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Maidana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorkil Turell in the 63rd minute of play forced Marcos AFC's goalkeeper Ramon Maidana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ronaldo de Lima fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marcos AFC's protests and gave Ronaldo de Lima a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Marcos AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ronaldo de Lima hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Malysz in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Maidana saved Marcos AFC from getting behind. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Cañada Juniors. Ariel Rodas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ramon Maidana. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cañada Juniors players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
