The referee ignored Cocoelgrosos's protests and gave Marcos Dolcet a yellow card for diving instead. 7 minutes into the match, El Ridiculo Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Kamika Kazeev came free, but Marcelino Oroitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Cocoelgrosos's goalkeeper Clemente Leobardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusebio Elorri. El Ridiculo Football Club's Marcelino Oroitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Cosâmbescu in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, El Ridiculo Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Favila Gavito came free, but Marcelino Oroitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cocoelgrosos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Favila Gavito in the 13th minute. Marcelino Oroitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Van Beetz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Cocoelgrosos's Raymond Van Beetz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelino Oroitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Clemente Leobardo was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Eusebio Elorri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Dolcet in the 34th minute of play forced El Ridiculo Football Club's goalkeeper Marcelino Oroitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cocoelgrosos's Clemente Leobardo got control of the ball when Eusebio Elorri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelino Oroitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Van Beetz in the 39th minute of play. Kamika Kazeev kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Clemente Leobardo made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Eusebio Elorri sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Raymond Van Beetz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Oroitz was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 58th minute Otso Lumio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match, Emanuel Cosâmbescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcelino Oroitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 61st minute Eusebio Elorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Ubaldo Ted left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Ridiculo Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. El Ridiculo Football Club's Eusebio Elorri got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cocoelgrosos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Ridiculo Football Club.
