After 11 minutes, Marek Sprengels mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors fc and the LEONES players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of LEONES booed when Boca Juniors fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Sprengels didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors fc's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Stoicu came free, but Ryszard Kaczanek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LEONES were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Boca Juniors fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonides Ubarna took the corner. The corner ended in Leonides Ubarna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Boca Juniors fc's Ryszard Kaczanek did a great save.

Boca Juniors fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karmel Mascaraque in the 64th minute. Guilherme de Souza took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ryszard Kaczanek. Ryszard Kaczanek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Damaso Aurken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gauche, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Iosif Stoicu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ryszard Kaczanek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ryszard Kaczanek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme de Souza in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho Gauche dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Damaso Aurken, 2-2. LEONES's Iosif Stoicu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gaudencio Diagur came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Boca Juniors fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Diagur couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Boca Juniors fc players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
