Geronimo Lertxun helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Newell´s booed when Matheu City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Lertxun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Benito Belmiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Bertol in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan got control of the ball when Benito Belmiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelio Blanco came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristobal Estavan could save by the left post. Celedonio Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Agachi in the 68th minute of play. Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Lizbeth in the 73rd minute of play.
