In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sylwester Petka kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Newell´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Agachi to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Newell´s's Fabian Iago seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fabian Iago the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. In the 34th minute of the match, Mei Zhi Jian tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristobal Estavan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristobal Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of LiBeRiA F.C. booed when Newell´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Agachi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alejo Berart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Wallengren might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tino Lumijärvi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. LiBeRiA F.C.'s Tino Lumijärvi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save LiBeRiA F.C. from getting a goal against them. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
