A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Romulo Sandalio with Ronaldinho Gauche as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Oliver Bierhoff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Gilmar Coelho made a huge save. Gilmar Coelho made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ronaldinho Gauche sent off a good shot on target. After 26 minutes Supay Puka Huasi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karmel Mascaraque who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Oliver Bierhoff managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors fc's Everardo Honrio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilmar Coelho. That made the score 2-1 after 28 minutes of play. Oliver Bierhoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gilmar Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton Melgar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryszard Kaczanek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Melgar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Milton Melgar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryszard Kaczanek was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Ryszard Kaczanek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Boca Juniors fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Supay Puka Huasi FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Supay Puka Huasi FC.
