The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Izotz got free with Enrique Bologna in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Majadita FC's Federico Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Niguel in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Izotz got free with Enrique Bologna in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 23 minutes, Melquiades Esiquio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Majadita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Esiquio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. NANO FC's Enrique Bologna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Oier in the 24th minute of play. Enrique Bologna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Oier in the 28th minute of the match. The Majadita FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Majadita FC's Mauro Izotz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39th minute of the match Majadita FC got a corner. NANO FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demis Tzanabetis ran over to the corner to take the kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demis Tzanabetis couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Mauro Izotz made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Zeledon Niguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Lore kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. NANO FC's Bartolo Mazuste was substituted for Freddy Chorache. After 66 played minutes NANO FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Lore. NANO FC's Enrique Bologna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Izotz in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Izotz in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Bologna saved NANO FC from getting behind. The corner led Majadita FC's Demis Tzanabetis to fire away a dangerous shot which Enrique Bologna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Enrique Bologna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Oier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Izotz in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Bologna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Demis Tzanabetis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. NANO FC made a substitution. Marciano Abecia replaced Zeledon Niguel. After a rather tough play, Majadita FC's Demis Tzanabetis got a free kick in the 80th minute. Norberto Matei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Federico Reyes. Majadita FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Enrique Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Charro in the 85th minute of play. Majadita FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after NANO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demis Tzanabetis took the corner. After taking down the ball on Majadita FC's corner Alfredo Eneto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enrique Bologna quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Majadita FC booed when NANO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Lore didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Majadita FC's Mauro Izotz in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NANO FC's goalie prevented a goal. NANO FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
