After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Amadeo Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newell´s's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeo Lizbeth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Aurken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ioan Agachi in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damaso Aurken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Mattias Wallengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Aurken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Albano Bertol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newell´s fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ioan Agachi in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damaso Aurken saved LEONES from getting behind. Damaso Aurken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Agachi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Guillelmo in the 26th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Fabian Iago put in a rough tackle. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Newell´s! When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mattias Wallengren made a kick off. Mattias Wallengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Damaso Aurken made a huge save. 55 minutes into the game, Newell´s's Mattias Wallengren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damaso Aurken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Mattias Wallengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the game, Iosif Stoicu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Cristobal Estavan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damaso Aurken made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Mattias Wallengren sent off a good shot on target. LEONES's Damaso Aurken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save LEONES from getting a goal against them. Albano Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Euloxu in the 95th minute of play. The Newell´s players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
