Celedonio Eguen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Boniel in the 18th minute. Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Matheu City FC from getting a goal against them. Gilmar Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Belmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Supay Puka Huasi FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Anton Grigoroiu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Supay Puka Huasi FC's zone, Aurelio Blanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Coelho came out of the goal and Aurelio Blanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Supay Puka Huasi FC's Daniel Garnero quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aquilino Argider, made in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Anton Grigoroiu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Celedonio Eguen, passed just outside the right post. Gilmar Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Blanco in the 28th minute of play. When Carolo Gomez fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matheu City FC's protests and gave Carolo Gomez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Matheu City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Gomez to maneuver through the defense. Milton Melgar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Belmiro in the 32nd minute of play forced Supay Puka Huasi FC's goalkeeper Gilmar Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milton Melgar scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celedonio Eguen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Celedonio Eguen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vicente Marin hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Celedonio Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Grigoroiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Milton Melgar might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celedonio Eguen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milton Melgar ran back to his position shaking his head. Celedonio Eguen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Melgar in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Grigoroiu in the 62nd minute of play forced Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Lastur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gilmar Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton Melgar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celedonio Eguen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Milton Melgar took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celedonio Eguen. Celedonio Eguen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 76 played minutes Matheu City FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Serafo. Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Melgar in the 79th minute of play. Ruperto Serafo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of Matheu City FC booed when Supay Puka Huasi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milton Melgar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aurelio Blanco came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Matheu City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Blanco couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Matheu City FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Marin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Marin in the 95th minute of play forced Supay Puka Huasi FC's goalkeeper Gilmar Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matheu City FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
