In the 9th minute Oscar Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Matheu City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Mark came free, but Celedonio Eguen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leonel Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Marin got free with Ernesto Fonso in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Matheu City FC's Benito Belmiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ernesto Fonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Gonzo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Boca Juniors fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Benito Belmiro scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Fonso, making the score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonel Gonzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Fonso. That made the score 5-0 in the 22 minute of play. Ernesto Fonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Marin in the 26th minute. Ernesto Fonso made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Leonel Gonzo sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Leonel Gonzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Fonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Benito Belmiro scored 7-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Fonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boca Juniors fc's Ernesto Fonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors fc from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonel Gonzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Fonso. That made the score 8-0 in the 46 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Gonzo was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Leonel Gonzo made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Fonso. Boca Juniors fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. After having played for 58 minutes, Leonel Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Celedonio Eguen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 63rd minute Leonel Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Fonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Fonso came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Matheu City FC's Leonel Gonzo. But to his dismay, Leonel Gonzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. 73 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors fc's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Belmiro came free, but Ernesto Fonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Fonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Gonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors fc defense, Vicente Marin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Fonso. The Boca Juniors fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Fonso should have stopped the shot. Benito Belmiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Fonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. If Aurelio Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Aurelio Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Fonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Leonel Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Matheu City FC's Benito Belmiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Fonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Matheu City FC fully deserved thier win.
