In the 15th match minute, La Banda del Tinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Penc to maneuver through the defense. Peyo Kaadekilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Ecobescu in the 18th minute of the match. Sixto Baristo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Vase in the 26th minute of play forced La Banda del Tinto's goalkeeper Peyo Kaadekilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Gorgory got a corner. La Banda del Tinto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Basilio Cordairo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gorgory's Oscar Arevalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peyo Kaadekilde in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Sixto Baristo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Oscar Arevalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peyo Kaadekilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Banda del Tinto's Sixto Baristo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peyo Kaadekilde came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gorgory's Magnus Vase. But to his dismay, Magnus Vase quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Gorgory booed when La Banda del Tinto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Madaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sixto Baristo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Abel Orlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Banda del Tinto. La Banda del Tinto's attentive Qani Ren managed to snatch the ball when Erubiel Tibalt made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Peyo Kaadekilde made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Magnus Vase sent off a good shot on target. In the 62ndth minute of the game Sixto Baristo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorgory's Abel Orlan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peyo Kaadekilde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Firme in the 95th minute. The Gorgory supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gorgory would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
