In the 53rdth minute of the game Zacarias Francesco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Stradivarius's Carmelo Piearres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Stradivarius's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kent Hedlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Characate FC's players had a chance to rest. Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carmelo Piearres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Jarmulowicz in the 60th minute of play forced Characate FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Daunte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Characate FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
