The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Braulio Chaime's late challenge caught a Sacando del Medio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Odol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Odol came free, but Jeronimo Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artemio Odol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jeronimo Gines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Gines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Odol's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Casimiro Ricart made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Maravilla's Roberto Mouzo. The supporters of Sacando del Medio booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemanja Vidić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemanja Vidić, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Sacando del Medio got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Orlin. In the 48th minute, Roberto Mouzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artemio Odol to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Gines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Odol in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 minutes of play, Sacando del Medio's Artemio Odol made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeronimo Gines was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernardo Loren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cruz Credo's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Maravilla's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by César de Senna in the 61st minute. The corner led Maravilla's César de Senna to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardo Loren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 65th minute, Santo James hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maravilla's Jeronimo Gines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Omero in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Roberto Mouzo got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 76th minute, Artemio Odol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Orlan kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Anacleto Gonchan kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sacando del Medio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maravilla had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
