Baltazár Beczássy tried in the game's 22nd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Kostas Michas. An annoying self made goal, 2-0. In the 25th minute of the match Riquelme Fútbol Club got a corner. West Ham United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severo Urbes ran over to the corner to take the kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kostas Michas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to West Ham United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pastor Benat hit a great ball. With a little luck, West Ham United's Kostas Michas got control of the ball when Genaro Suarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bernardino Orlanda came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Riquelme Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Orlanda couldn't finish the play. After 40 played minutes West Ham United got a freekick which was hit by Ludomir Okropny. Thanks to some nice moves Genaro Suarez could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Kostas Michas however easily saved by the left post. Genaro Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Salvi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
