After a defensive mix-up in Hombres de Negro's zone, Melquiades Berdoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Nahia came out of the goal and Melquiades Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 minutes, Mikel Oyarzabal made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. West Ham United's Kostas Michas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kostas Michas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikel Oyarzabal in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Marco Mendez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostas Michas. West Ham United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Mendez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmiro Matro to make the kick off. The West Ham United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Michas should have stopped the shot. Hombres de Negro's Mario Mannuel was substituted for Mikel Oyarzabal. In the 90thth minute of the game Mario Mannuel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Ham United's Kostas Michas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mario Mannuel spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of West Ham United's goal. A hard shot 91 in the game by Delmiro Matro from a close distance when the talented Kostas Michas managed to make a qualified save. West Ham United's players were relieved. Isaac Raebert hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Kostas Michas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Mannuel in the 96th minute of the match. Hombres de Negro played a much better game than West Ham United and deserved their victory. The West Ham United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
