The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Gipuzkoa got free with Kostas Michas in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute Emanuel Pelayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Michas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Emanuel Pelayo put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kostas Michas. West Ham United's Kostas Michas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Gipuzkoa in the 76th minute of play. Melquiades Berdoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Jose Nuñez made a huge save.
