Ciriaco Kelemen made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Racing Club's Grzegorz Krychowiak. When Antonio Ubarna, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Filippo Cappucci was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Ubarna got free with Filippo Cappucci in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filippo Cappucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Ubarna in the 42nd minute. Mai Hong Zhen's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Carolo Indalecio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Indalecio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
