David Fonda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Fonda in the 31st minute of play forced Academia de Campeones's goalkeeper Rodolfo Calvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Valiente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kermit Froggaard in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Kermit Froggaard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Joel Valiente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Mr. Ice getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alfredo Cheche hit a great ball. Joel Valiente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kai Havertz in the 47th minute of the match. Joel Valiente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Havertz, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Ángel Gambier made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, David Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mr. Ice's supporters rose to their feet, but David Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Calvet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Academia de Campeones made a substitution. Denis Blasco replaced Simon Ferrer. Fabian Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Mr. Ice's Odilon Bacete couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Academia de Campeones. In the 73rd match minute, Academia de Campeones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Ángel Gambier to maneuver through the defense. If David Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Calvet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Orzaize, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia de Campeones's Rodolfo Calvet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Pionek in the 78th minute of play. Carver Mclatchey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Calvet having to interfere. Kermit Froggaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Joel Valiente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Kermit Froggaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia de Campeones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kermit Froggaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Orzaize in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Calvet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Academia de Campeones had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
