When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mikus Linkūns made a kick off. Fabricio Jax kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. But to his dismay, Aldo Fernanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Yuriy Babushkin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Fernanco went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Deportivo Messina's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because El Retorno de Palermo had won, even though Deportivo Messina had held more of the ball.
