Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Sugoi in the 6th minute of play. Baldomero Sugoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Yuriy Babushkin made a huge save. After 9 minutes Deportivo Messina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nereo Erwenne who took care of the corner kick. 11 minutes into the match, Deportivo Messina's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Colas came free, but Yuriy Babushkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Baldomero Sugoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Baldomero Sugoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✞ Fëntanilo! ツ's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Sugoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuriy Babushkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yuriy Babushkin stood somewhat misplaced when Baldomero Sugoi came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 31 minute. Godfredo Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute Rene Pierres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Bento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, ✞ Fëntanilo! ツ's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Pierres came free, but Godfredo Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, Deportivo Messina's Teodosio Ascencio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Pierres to make the kick off. Baldomero Sugoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomero Sugoi in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuriy Babushkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yuriy Babushkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Elivareo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
