With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julián Álvarez in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Lauro saved Guansa from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julián Álvarez made a kick off. Guansa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Gaufred was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julián Álvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Lauro having to interfere. LegionArgentina's Remigio Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Elequemedo in the 97th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guansa's Maximo Todor got a free kick in the 98th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
