An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Tab in the 11th minute of play forced ꜱᴀɴ ᴍᴀʀᴛɪɴ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's goalkeeper Geronimo Joanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geronimo Joanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguito Armando in the 13th minute of play. Maximo Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Ibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Prudencio Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Berto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Severino Bastia fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ꜱᴀɴ ᴍᴀʀᴛɪɴ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's protests and gave Severino Bastia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Severino Bastia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the game Cristian Poncio made a throw-in which Arnoldo Sarracino played forward. 43 minutes into the match, ꜱᴀɴ ᴍᴀʀᴛɪɴ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Tab came free, but Geronimo Joanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ꜱᴀɴ ᴍᴀʀᴛɪɴ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Severino Bastia got a free kick in the 45th minute. Cristian Poncio made in the 47th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Arnoldo Sarracino. The ꜱᴀɴ ᴍᴀʀᴛɪɴ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lanus were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Nereo Gonza made the kick off in the second half. Geronimo Joanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Jaizki, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Dieguito Armando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geronimo Joanes having to make a save. Lanus made a substitution. Enrique Nazario replaced Horacio Tab. In the 91st minute, Lanus's Enrique Nazario ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geronimo Joanes. Geronimo Joanes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Geronimo Joanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Duro in the 96th minute of play.
