The audience was convinced that Gregorio Elija's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorin Tâmbalari was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The supporters of Mwanza Mukombo F.C. booed when Riverplatense CARP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Millan got free with Celso Jaunti in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute of the match Mwanza Mukombo F.C. got a corner. Riverplatense CARP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andres Enaut ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mwanza Mukombo F.C.'s Andres Enaut was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Celso Jaunti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Many of Riverplatense CARP's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Riverplatense CARP may have spent more time on the ball, but Mwanza Mukombo F.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
