Wayne Rooney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pastor Noriega having to make a save. The Sumampa FC fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Sumampa FC's Wayne Rooney looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Sumampa FC booed when Escalada City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Onbera didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Silverio Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Escalada City FC's Marty Norton got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Edelmiro Bartoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wayne Rooney took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pastor Noriega. Pastor Noriega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pastor Noriega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wayne Rooney went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wayne Rooney to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Escalada City FC's Jairo Ovando got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Pastor Quiroga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escalada City FC and the Sumampa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pastor Quiroga kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Wayne Rooney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Pastor Noriega made a huge save. 倪鸿渊 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Noriega having to interfere. Pastor Noriega made an important save on a dangerous shot by 倪鸿渊 in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Escalada City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Rooney came free, but Pastor Noriega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Escalada City FC's Pastor Noriega tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sumampa FC played a much better game than Escalada City FC and deserved their victory. The Escalada City FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
