Enrico Giammarino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Silvio Jax made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Lucila during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Arósio in the 16th minute of play forced Motor Alma y Sangre's goalkeeper Silvio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Silvio Bazil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Enrico Giammarino made the kick off in the second half. Silvio Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Pepillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 55 minutes into the match, Motor Alma y Sangre's Eusebio Ferran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Bazil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute Tiburcio Pepillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Motor Alma y Sangre echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Martin Palermo F.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
