With his leg Rosendo Mikolas managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Athletic Bostero's Liu Yuan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Athletic Bostero's Cecilio Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Montrell in the 75th minute of play. Angel Frutos's late challenge caught a Famatina AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angel Frutos helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Athletic Bostero got a freekick which was hit by Angel Frutos. Cecilio Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Montrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Famatina AFC's goalkeeper Rosendo Mikolas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar. The Athletic Bostero supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Athletic Bostero would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
