With his leg Cecilio Martinez managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Motor Alma y Sangre's Arttu Olkkonen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 19 minutes into the match, Athletic Bostero's Liu Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Jax narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd match minute, Athletic Bostero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Jax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liu Yuan in the 25th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Athletic Bostero's corner Liu Yuan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Silvio Jax quite easily take care of the ball. If Arttu Olkkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 42 played minutes Motor Alma y Sangre got a freekick which was hit by Frantzes Barral. Cecilio Martinez made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Ildefonso Quinton sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Ildefonso Quinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cecilio Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Quinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 75 minutes, Ildefonso Quinton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motor Alma y Sangre and the Athletic Bostero players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Eusebio Ferran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecilio Martinez was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Eusebio Ferran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cecilio Martinez having to make a save. Eusebio Ferran might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cecilio Martinez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the final whistle sounded Athletic Bostero left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Motor Alma y Sangre.
